In create a new account, what does the Reseller check box do exactly? What about the owner checkbox?
How can I change the defaults of these two checkboxes? Thanks.

The reseller checkbox makes the account automatically be a reseller account.
The owner checkbox makes the reseller own his own account, if the reseller is checked.

What do you mean it automatically makes it a reseller account? is there any purpose to that?

If I leave the owner checkbox checked, and not the reseller checkbox, does it make a difference? Thanks.

A reseller account is one where the account owner has there own WHM to create accounts themself. If you plan to make someone a reseller, check that box and it's automatic.

It used to be necessary to create the account first, then make them a reseller.

If the reseller box is not checked, it doesn't matter if the owner one is or not.

Thanks. I personally think this should be documented within cpanel itself.
