Hello!

I've been looking for this answer for days, but didn't find it anywhere.

I have a Worpdress Multisite instalation and I'm using a plugin from WPMU called Domain Mapping, to map domains to the wordpress multisite subdomains.

The plugin uses the attacched file "sunrise.php" to map a domain to a subdomain.

Everything is working fine, but I need to create email accounts to the mapped domains and that's the problem. If I setup a parked domain to create the emails accounts, the mapped domain stops working.

What I would like to know is how to setup just the email service through DNS for these domains, instead of creating a parked domain.

Hello :)

It's not possible to create an email account through cPanel without first creating the domain name as a parked/addon/primary domain name. You may need to modify the method that your script maps the domain name to allow for the creation of parked/addon domain names.

Thank you.

Thank you cPanelMichael for your answer!

What if I add the domain as an addon and edit the DNS records deleting all records but the mx? Would that work? These are the dns records for this a sample domain:

You could try that method, however you may want to simply leave the DNS Zone in place and setup the records at the registrar instead.

Thank you.
