Create forwarder on non-existing email address

Wow, this seems very complicated for something so basic. I have an email account on my hosted domain, and i want all emails that go to that account to forward to an account on a domain that i do not host. Why is that a problem? I don't even understand the "hook" thing... how am i going to create and destroy email accounts for domains that I don't control?
