create user that have access ssh (read-only) file system

    Hello,

    i want to give access to a user that have ssh access just read-only file system, it cant change anything just can see the file system.
    how can i do it?

    On a Linux system, the user can only edit files that are owned by them or that have open permissions. So really all you need to do is create a user with SSH access.

    Hello :)

    You could assign a user jailed-shell access and that will limit the user to actions on their own account. However, I'm not sure I understand the purpose of allowing a user to see every file on the system, but not have the ability to modify those files. The ability to view all files on the system would be a security risk itself.

    I have a problem with mod security plugin, i contact with comodo company they request me that give them ssh access at least read-only that they can only see the configuration. now i want to create a user that only have read-only access to all server. is it possible?
