    Hi all

I know this is not strictly speaking a Cpanel issue but I'd appreciate any advice.

I need to implement a hardware firewall for PCI compliance. Can I install Centos
on a dell 1850 with two network cards and load an easy to use software firewall?
Is this strictly-speaking a hardware firewall as far as pci compliance is concerned?
Will CSF do it for me or is that just set to protect the box its running on?

    Best
    Dude

    Hello,

May I know why are you trying to install Hardware firewall? For heavy DDOS attacks and all these kinds of firewalls are designed. For a simple server CSF is more than enough.

    Hello,

To the best of my experience and knowledge, PCI Compliance requires only that a firewall be installed and does not specify if that firewall has to be on a separate appliance.

It should be sufficient just to install a firewall on your system.
