This might be newbish, but oh well.

In the last two years of reselling, I just had nameservers that I listed, then I would wait the 48-72 hrs and that was it..the domain worked.

Now I changed to a different company. although the give the IP's to the name servers, they also gave me:

    ns1."mydomain".com / ns1.:mydomain:.com

It makes sense, but how do I convert the IP's into the name of my business site/domain that I am using. Not unilt this is solved can I repoint my domains from my old company/server.

Can someone help me out? :(

    Hi Mack101,

Yes, you can convert the IP's into the name of your business site/domain.
    Enter your reseller WHM(control panel).

    domainname/whm/

DNS function -->> Add A DNS zone. (enter IP and domain name)

    click the do it button.

You can do it through shell also.

you have to make entries in

    /etc/named.conf
    /var/named/domain name.db file(zone file)

    Start the named service.

    Hope this will work.

    Regards,

    Bright:)
