    Hi All

    i wanted to create 30, 000 emails for one domain in one of my server is there is any shorter way to go about it..?

    second thing that i was looking for something like that if the email's landing in those accounts can be deleted in 5/10 days... and the mails are only checked through webmail.... is there any way out? would aging feature in email manager would work in this case..? if not then what else can be the solutions.....

    Go on, have a guess
    By emails do you mean email accounts? If so, then you could script around /scripts/addpop yourself to create them all.

    AFAIK, email aging doesn't work through webmail, though could be wrong.

    30,000 users accessing webmail is going to take a serious amount of server resources, never mind the associates email processing - just a thought.

    Thanks for your reply Chirpy..

    as far as the accssiblility is concerned the server config is good enough to take care of that but the mail problem is about the aging thing... is it possible that this can be taken care by some script or something.....

    For creation of account i would try getting the variables and store into a file and try doing it...

    Of course it can be taken care of by a script ....

    Could just write a shell script to do a cleanup of mail accounts from crontab or something.

    Mail locations:
    ================
    /home/*/mail/*/*/cur
    /home/*/mail/*/*/new
    /home/*/mail/cur
    /home/*/mail/new
