any other place with reference to commands? I looked at the suggested url but it didn't show any commands. I just want to make a cron job to back up my website and mysql database.

you can use any command in cron. You can also a shell, perl, php, etc script to be run at any given time.

I am new to all of this. I do NOT own the server and such. I simply own an account that uses CPanel X. I hate having to constantly go into Cpanel to download a daily website backup and mysql database back up.

It is possible to create a cron job to do each one of these and have it e-mail me the backups? or do I need to keep manually going in to get them?

Keep in mind, I have never written a cron job/tab/whatever in my life. My database disappeared one day and my host had to restore it from one of their daily backups. I'd rather have done it myself with a local daily backup from my computer so I didn't have to wait for them.
