So far Ive only noticed thsi one one server, they may be more. but when I su to a user or login as a user Im not able to insert cronjobs. When I do I get permissios denied

    crontab -e
    cron/secure: Permission denied

Ive tried changing permissions to various things to no avail. I dont know for sure if this ever worked or just stopped working. It is a brand new server with fresh install

Anyone know what could be the problem here?

Check permissions on /usr/bin/crontab Make sure the SUID bit is set.

    Code:
    -rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 313052 Sep 8 2006 /usr/bin/crontab*

If this isn't set run the command below to set it.

    Code:
    chmod 4755 /usr/bin/crontab
