    Hello,

I have recently noticed the following warning in my cPanel Cronjobs section:

/usr/bin/crontab permissions are wrong (6755). Please set to 4755.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe this started to appear after the latest cPanel upgrade (cPanel 11.24.4-R35075).

I have manually chmod'ed the file to 4755 and the warning disappeared, but I want to know if this is a known "bug" or something which only affected my servers. It is the same for several of my servers, and I know that I have not set this permission (6755) myself.

    Thank you.

It's a known error and you can fix this by simply changing the permission of /usr/bin/crontab as mentioned in the error.
