    Hello guys!

Is it possible to make a cron job so that every day it will backup the MySQL databases? Have in mind that i do not have shell access.

If you don't have a shell I don't think that cron will run as it runs with ur permissions/shell. You may want to talk to the admin about that. If you can get a shell you can config the cron in cpanel. You can also d/l a backup of everything from cpanel. If you can get shell, you should be able to use the mysqldump command "man mysqldump".

Something like this should suit your needs:

    mysqldump --opt --password=urpass DBNAME > mydb.sql

There are also examples in the man page for mysql dump. You get the point though. :)

You should also check to make sure that the admin of the server is backing them up. (This is an option in CPanel).
