CS MailScanner (bounced mail issue)

I have installed the MailScanner package from ConfigS. and the bounce messages are piling up and causing issues.

I am unsure why this is occuring all of a sudden as it has never been an issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem and is it just a shortcoming of this package?
