Well, I am trying to recover now, but here is what I have so far.

I updated my mailscanner and mailscanner FE this morning through the gui in WHM.

About an hour or so ago, I noticed the load on the server rising. tar was running, but I did not know why. I looked at the command line, and it showed csf tarring up 'suspicious' files. At the same time, I noticed that mail had stopped working. I tried to go to /tmp and do an ls - /bin/ls - file not found.

The entire /bin directory is empty. The exim.conf is missing - I don't know what else mught be happening.

My server management teams wants me to do an OS reload, and I am trying to get the /bin directory restored by the DC.
