CSF Firewall Missing 2 Module (insmod)

Hello, how are you guys?
So I tried to search about this issue and see a lot of people suffering from the same thing (usually on VPS / OpenVZ)

So like everybody, I am too suffering issues with these 2 modules in CSF and I tried one for all to solve the issue.
I talk with my hosting and we get inside the recommendation of the forum:

Now... this thread is from 2007!!!!
this guy didn't think about updating the menu and not even OpenVZ...
I look over the forum, more than 100 tickets about the same issue with the same module missing...
is not coincident.

have someone here succeed maybe deal with and install these 2 stoped modules? ( iptable_nat/ipt_REDIRECT , iptable_nat/ipt_DNAT )

RESULT: CSF will function on this server but some features will not work due to some missing iptables modules [2]



as I said I am not the only one, this issue is over the years:

Very broken iptables 1.4.21 after upgrade to kernel 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64

I ran system update in WHM 64 Build 36, to upgrade some packages and also update the kernel to 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64 (as advised by the security advisor). The updates ran successsfully, but after a reboot I noticed that configServer (Csf) would no longer start. This turned out to be due to...

I have a process called modprobe running, and it is taking up 95% cpu usage....I can not kill the process for the life of me. I keep trying, but it doesn't go anywhere....

More than that... if you notice all the problems have the problem with the same iptables version.

this is not coincident.
from 2007 until 2021 is a lot of time...

This is really a question for the CSF forums ( ConfigServer Community Forum - Index page ) and not the cPanel forums. ConfigServer makes CSF, not cPanel.

Having said that we'd prob. need to know what OpenVZ kernel you are running.

CSF has officially deprecated support for OpenVZ, so there isn't an "official" way to get that working:

Its simply saying that 'nat' table does not exist in IPTABLES.

Do the Following :

modprobe ip_tables

and add ip_tables at the end of /etc/modules or do this:

echo 'ip_tables' >> /etc/modules

I asked to Check this solution if it helps plus Always prefer a KVM Container as Many things in OpenVZ is not supported!

Today all the hosting companies work with OpenVZ to save money... this the reason must move to google cloud.
but i have an issue with interfaces... google cloud computing is not easy and the cPanel docomuntion is very wrong...

Who said that Everyone works with OpenVZ. I(Cloudmate) use KVM as Kernel for VPS and Lot more including Hetzner

the computing is not easy...

I already talk with the support AND I TOLD THEM:

when you install it via Google market place they do not care or notified about configuration (basic):
1. add IP?
2. nameserver?
3. compile with the VPC Networking google cloud offer, the installation is not compiled, and even your video from cPanel is absolutely wrong and this is

This guy cant generate nameservers with this installation,
or add more IPs if he wants to.

more than that, maybe the client can be connected only to one server from Cpanel with his external IPs and not even connected to google...
this installation is a money maker and nothing also.

cPanel is a full Panel, all the IPs, nameservers, routes, and CIDR, go from the panel (must pull out everything from cPanel to work properly, of course).

if I was do something like that, someone was shut me down or compline on me, (BBB, FDA, AND MORE).
but this bull**** to make money of incessant people, these people only want to leave the hosting scam them and actually provide them a broken Cpanel
from google cloud... this is a loop, this is the loop I am into...

As I said... nothing is configured automatically with Cpanel and google cloud with the "click button installation".
as promise in google cloud marketplace (installation in a button click usually average of 30 - 70 dollars for something normal - mid/small.)

Now the funny thing is,
I found how to do it, but is a joke bro, this is not something even the "ADVANCE USER" or even MASTER in cPanel cant do hahaha.
the funny part is the installation, they provide an auto-installation without any current instruction,
the server will maybe go up on an interface,

but all the network via default (even after you pay the money).
is not configured properly, the worst is don't have even a note or AUTO option to create multiple interfaces automatically,
but cPanel don't care about that because they already get the money... in a click button, I told to cPanel support is kind of
a scam and I say it with a very heavy heart because I love cPanel and I think they have very good support.

but when it comes to money.... nobody care.
after you buy the product.

and the worst part after the installation you not even possible the generate IPs if you do not create a NIC0 -NIC1 -NIC2:

Seems like You need Name of a Good Hosting Provider. Go and Try OVH Cloud and Hetzner Cloud and Get rid of these problems!

Actually, I just tried cPanel/WHM with Google Compute using NAT and it correctly working! Maybe, He got on the wrong foot...

I think you do not understand what i even want...

try to generate IP CIDR for a nameserver with the new installation of cPanel / WHM you did on google compute...

if you didn't create nic0 nic1 nic2 is will not work for you...

more than that.. if you will configure that wrong (the nic's interfaces)

you will not be able to use all the feature google actually offer...
i think you never build on google compute... you don't actually understand what happened under the scan...

must be configured, and don't have a chance the "Automatic installation" via google store NOT do it for you...
It must be configured on your own.

if you will not do it you will never be able to generate IPs to your VM Instance and cPanel will never find IPs.
