Hello, how are you guys?
So I tried to search about this issue and see a lot of people suffering from the same thing (usually on VPS / OpenVZ)
So like everybody, I am too suffering issues with these 2 modules in CSF and I tried one for all to solve the issue.
I talk with my hosting and we get inside the recommendation of the forum:
this the link the developer provides to people "how to compile the missing module":
Now... this thread is from 2007!!!!
this guy didn't think about updating the menu and not even OpenVZ...
I look over the forum, more than 100 tickets about the same issue with the same module missing...
is not coincident.
I open a ticket by myself too:
This forum has abounded...
and I am sure if someone even knows what to do he will not reply to you there...
I sure someone here may be found to this solution from 2007 huh
have someone here succeed maybe deal with and install these 2 stoped modules? ( iptable_nat/ipt_REDIRECT , iptable_nat/ipt_DNAT )
The Test in CSF Firewall:
Testing ip_tables/iptable_filter...OK
Testing ipt_LOG...OK
Testing ipt_multiport/xt_multiport...OK
Testing ipt_REJECT...OK
Testing ipt_state/xt_state...OK
Testing ipt_limit/xt_limit...OK
Testing ipt_recent...OK
Testing xt_connlimit...OK
Testing ipt_owner/xt_owner...OK
Testing iptable_nat/ipt_REDIRECT...FAILED [Error: iptables v1.4.21: can't initialize iptables table `nat': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)] - Required for MESSENGER feature
Testing iptable_nat/ipt_DNAT...FAILED [Error: iptables v1.4.21: can't initialize iptables table `nat': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)] - Required for csf.redirect feature
RESULT: CSF will function on this server but some features will not work due to some missing iptables modules [2]
as I said I am not the only one, this issue is over the years:
forums.cpanel.net
forums.cpanel.net
More than that... if you notice all the problems have the problem with the same iptables version.
v1.4.21....
this is not coincident.
from 2007 until 2021 is a lot of time...
solution someone? some information?
Thanks for all the helpers...

Very broken iptables 1.4.21 after upgrade to kernel 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64
I ran system update in WHM 64 Build 36, to upgrade some packages and also update the kernel to 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64 (as advised by the security advisor). The updates ran successsfully, but after a reboot I noticed that configServer (Csf) would no longer start. This turned out to be due to...
modprobe? What is it?
I have a process called modprobe running, and it is taking up 95% cpu usage....I can not kill the process for the life of me. I keep trying, but it doesn't go anywhere....
