Steep learning curve. I normally work with windows servers and have just setup a centos 7 server with cpanel. Go easy please :)

I understand CSF is a 3rd party plugin (?) but if someone could help here i'd really appreciate it.

I keep getting this email notification:

    Time: Wed May 22 09:05:36 2019 +1000
    File: /tmp/.esd-1000
    Reason: Suspicious directory
    Owner: administrator:administrator (1000:1000)
    Action: No action taken

    I've tried adding

    exe:/tmp/.esd-1000

to csf.pignore but the emails still come through (other user ignores are working fine)

    Maybe my syntax is wrong?

    Thanks in advance

Take a look in the file csf.fignore. Useful examples are in the file.

csf.pignore is for processes you want to ignore

csf.fignore is for files you want to ignore - in this case you'd need to add it to csf.fignore as suggested by @GOT
