I've installed CSF, and everything seems to be configured properly. But, it still seems to be allowing access to a port (22) even though I've removed it from the TCP in and out lists. I can still SSH in through port 22 with no problem. I know, I haven't changed the port anywhere else yet (I just wanted to see if the firewall alone would allow or disallow a port). But if the port isn't in the in or out list, it should be impossible to SSH in, right?

So this makes me wonder if I'm protected.

Please advise.

If your IP is in the allowed list, it doesn't block the connections. You could try connecting from another IP, or remove your IP and reload the rules and test. If it still goes through, you might want to take a look at your config again (testing mode maybe?) and if in doubt, ask on their forums.
