CSF + Spamhaus blocking = Safe?

Just wondering if while using Chirpy's excellent CSF, if you turn on the spamhaus blocking... is it safe?

My hosting company is in Mexico and just browsing through the net blocks I see some dangerously similar IP blocks to some of the local Internet companies.

However spamhaus says they are abandoned blocks not used by any active public ISP, they are just taken over by spammers.

It seems like a good idea to turn it on but I don't want to create any issues for my customers.

Any thoughts?

it should not be an issue of enabling that.

I have had it enabled for many weeks, and my customers have not complained except for one or two people whose ISP was temporarily blocked at spamhaus.
