    Hello,

I am trying to compile PHP with Curl and Curl+SSL, using EasyApache without any luck.

    I have tried options:
    - PHP 4.3.4 + Curl + Curl SSL
    - PHP 4.3.3 and 4.3.1 + Curl + Curl SSL

numerous times without success. The only part isn't compiling is Curl.

At the end of compilation I receive following error:

configure: error: Please reinstall the libcurl distribution -
    easy.h should be in <curl-dir>/include/curl/
make: *** No rule to make target `clean'. Stop.
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.

Please advise on how can I resolve this issue?

    I appritiate any input!

    Cretu

Try forcing a curl install from the rpm manager in WHM. Then run easyapache again.

    Hi,

I was successfull in compiling Curl and Curl SSL the day I posted first question. I have tried compiling n times until it cliked... And I remember also going to WHM and installing Curl from RPM, however I am uncertain if this actually helped or easyapache just gave up and compiled it for me...

    Hi cretu & ryno267,

You have not installed a development version of curl (basicaly libcurl and its headers). The curl command line tool is often distributed in a separate package than the devel stuff.

    Regards,:)

If I try and install the rpm its version 7.9.8-5 and that installs fine. If I try and do it in easyapache it installs 7.10 (the one I need) and apache fails after compiling. Do I need to uncheck any of the options to compile with curl curlssl gd mycrypt?

I'm not sure if you're dead set on doing it in easyapache, but you could always do the rpm in WHM and then compile php manually. I'm sure it would compile with curl then.
