    I have used:

    http://www.cpanel.net/Modules-HOWTO.txt

To create a custom module for cpanel, it works fine I have certain concerns.

#1 How can I make my new icon appear to all skins, or do I have to modify each skin manually to add my icon?
#2 Is there a way to make sure my changes to the frontend or the new modules under /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/ are not overwritten by cpanel upgrades?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

#1 = Remove existing and rename yours. :)

#2 = I doubt it. :( and Switch to "Manual Update" and repeat step #1

    1. modify each skin manually

    2. protect it by using chattr +i /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/mymodules.pm
