    Hi there.

I have a client with domain that uses Squarespace custom domain CNAME records.
Now they ask if its possible to open 2 sub domains (login and shop) and set 2 own custom domain CNAME records for those?

I have now set up sub domains but started to think if its really possible to set unique DNS records for those? If this is possible, where do I edit the DNS records for sub domains?

    Best regards,
    Jonathan

You can create separate cPanel accounts for the subdomains.

Subdomain records are included in the zone file of main domain.

You should be able to edit this in WHM >> Edit DNS Zone >> Selecting Main Domain

    OR

If you wish to keep the dns of subdomains completly isolated from the main domain, you can just create it as seperate accounts as mentioned by PlotHost.

I would recommend you to change the CNAME records in the main domain zone file itself and it will not cause any issues.

    Cheers!!!
