How do I set up a zone for custom nameservers?
I have a reseller account.. and I want my name servers to be:

I basically just want it to point to the nameservers of the host i'm renting the space off of.

First make sure you have two free IP's and denote one to the actual domain.

When setting up the reseller privledges, at the bottom, you are asked for the nameservers, insert them.

Now open a root session in shell and type:
    edit /etc/nameserverips

You will see a list of the IP's on your server, add the nameservers to the corresponding IP's and save.

Now go back to the reseller privledges page and where you added the nameservers for the account click on "assign IP address" for both nameservers, it should say the IP (ones added to nameserverips) are already assigned...this is good. Now click on "add A-entry for this nameserver" for each.

Now go to the domains DNS file and add the following:
    ns1 14400 A The IP address
    ns2 14400 A The IP address

Finally click on Nameserver Setup in WHM under Service Configuration and in 24 hours or so it will resolve as long as the domain adds these nameserver under it DNS.
Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
