Greetings everyone. I've searched the forums and cannot seem to find a specific answer to my problem...so here it goes.

I'm running cPanel 11.25 (VPS optimized version). When my customers login to their cPanel backend, they get an error because the server is redirecting to them to the server login, not their domain login.

    i.e.: customerdomain.com/cpanel returns: servername.hostingcompany.com:2083/

Is this normal behavior or is something askew? :)

    Thanks for the help everyone.

Please make sure that the client domain is registered and pointing to your server.

I'm not sure I follow? It's doing this for all domains hosted on my server right now. Some use my NS', some host their own DNS entries (externally).

    Hi there,

    Check your settings under :

Main >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings >> Redirection

It sounds like you want to change these to Origin Domain Name.

Odd. I have changed the settings as you suggested, but it keeps redirecting to the SSL login for my server, not the users domain.

Is there a way to secure each customers domain without having to purchase an SSL for each domain?

    Is that option checked...?

"Always redirect users to the ssl/tls ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc. "

Whether it's checked or not, users are still being redirected to the SSL login for the server hostname, rather than their domain.

    Greetings from Greece,

In Tweak Settings in WHM check the following 2 options:

When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail WITHOUT SSL, you can choose to redirect to: --> Origin Domain Name

When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail with SSL, you can choose to redirect to: --> Origin Domain Name

Let me know if that helps.

I am also having this problem and can't seem to get it fixed. I have everything set to Origin Domain Name and it doesn't matter if the box is checked or not, I get the same results...

    Hello,

Can you try disabling WHM >> Tweak Settings >> Always redirect users to the ssl/tls ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc. ?

I already stated above that it doesn't change anything if it's enabled or disabled.

do your customers login by adding the respective port number e.g. www.myhorror.org:2083 or do they login the www.myhorror.org/cpanel style?

Have a look into (or post here) one DNS file of any of your customers (make the domain name something neutral in case you post). The redirect is likely managed there and does probably point to the FQDN of your server while it should resolve to theor domain.

You may also take a look into the /etc/http.conf file to see if "whm", "webmail", "cpanel" etc are entered there and where they do redirect to.

Please clear the browser cache as it may save the old redirect behavior. If clearing the browser cache and or trying a different browser are not helping, please consider submitting a support request so that we may assist directly.

Turns out my datacenter fixed it after I forced them to.

It was secretly fixed, probably by the guy that messed it up. I'll see if I can get the resolution and post it here.

Were any details revealed about the resolution? If the corrective measures can be shared I believe it could help others that may encounter similar situations.
