I've finished migrating all of my clients' email services to one of my dedicated servers running cPanel. Many of them work behind corporate firewalls (mostly, consultants who still need access to personal email in the office) so I'd like to utilize the proxy subdomain option.

HOWEVER, my clients are used to https://mail.domain.com and are not particularly savvy. Is there any way I can change the default proxy subdomain of webmail.domain.com created by cPanel to mail.domain.com?

Note: This must be a proxy subdomain, due to the firewall issue.

    Thanks,
    J

Forgot to mention the SSL certificate is for mail.domain.com as well.

Thanks cPanelMichael. I've now managed to modify the proxy subdomain to mail.domain.com and it works great WHEN using https://

If I use http://mail.domain.com it redirects to the same https://mail.domain.com/2096 - is there any way I can change this to simply redirect http://mail.domain.com to https://mail.domain.com WITHOUT the 2096?

As far as I can tell, the proxy subdomain for webmail calls wredirect.cgi and this script determines if the browser is using https or http and directs it to either the secure proxy or the 2096 port, so the modification would need to be done in that script?
