I know I can set the maximum *hourly* limit that an account can send outgoing mail. I also know that I can set the number of emails sent *per day* by an account before triggering a notification email. But is there a way to stop outgoing email from an account after the *daily* limit is reached?

That's really not a limit like the hourly limits are - it's a high volume of mail detected type of notice. I was thinking this might do it:

Select the action for the system to take on an email account when it detects a potential spammer. [?]
The system will automatically take this action on every email account that it detects as a potential spammer. To detect spammers, the system monitors the number of emails to unique recipients that each individual user sends.

But it's attached to the spammer notification setting which is also an hourly limit. From what I see there are no native daily limits. This thread is really old but goes over how to implement something like this Daily Mail Sending Limits
