Daily Process Log Is it an effective way to charge my customers?

Hello!

Currently I do not own Cloudlinux and am looking for a medium in which I can charge my clients based on their use of resources without considering only the traditional Disk Space and Bandwidth. I have a little knowledge in programming and I know that through the logs I can retrieve these values and thus dynamically find out how much my clients have used CPU and RAM and so charge based on that.

But I ask. Is this section of cPanel reliable? Is there any limitation? Is there something that this tool does not check for example?

Hello Emerson,

you want to restrict customers based on CPU and RAM? example customer A has 1024 MB as Memory and 60% as CPU when ever they accessed they should pay.

Cloudlinux is the solution for that, i can help you send me message so we can talk.

Ultimately CloudLinux is going to be the best option for what you are asking to do but the daily process log is a reliable source of information for the average daily CPU/RAM usage. The downfall you won't be able to limit clients, nor will you be able to automate, you'd need to go through manually and check the user's daily averages.

Hi @Mauwiks

To find out more about CloudLinux I'd suggest checking out their site here: CloudLinux - Main | New template

You can run that kind of server on either platform, just as long as either has enough resources. Some do prefer hardware servers for reselling, but really either is acceptable.
