database backup

    Hi,

    I have wp installed on my site, yesterday the database corrupted and everythig lost I have available backup is on fifteen days old I dont want to restore all the data (site) just want to restore database backup please help me......

    Extract the sql file from your backup and run the query in phpmyadmin or however you like to use your engine. If you keep a full mysql backup of the system, you could also extract your database directory for your user name and dump it back into /var/spool/mysql after deleting your current data.

    Provided you have not changed mysql versions in the mix, there should be no trouble.
