    Hi,

    I don't this. I have created a new database "gardenzen" which is/should be on the same server as my domain www.gardenserre.fr. I have a user name and password and for the database host when setting up the connection, I inserted "localhost". No connection. I have tried putting "gardense_" before the user name, database name and even the password, all to no avail. What am I doing wrong ? This isn't my first database !

    Cheers

    Pete

    DB Username = cPanelusername_databaseusername
    DB Name - cPanelusername_databasename
    HOST= localhost

    I presume yuou have added the database, created the user and attatched the user to the database, giving the necessary permissions?

    Regards

    Both the database name and the database username will be prefixed by your cPanel username. Typically your database host will be localhost unless your hosting provider has told you it is something else.

    Thanks. I've figured it out. Just a missing ")" that's all. I thought it was something more exotic !

    Cheers
