Getting a strange error from one server running MySQL on CPanel C4

DBD::mysql::st execute failed: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1 at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 797. DBD::mysql::st fetchrow_arrayref failed: fetch() without execute() at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 798.

we have a lot of servers all configured up the same way and just this one server seems to have this problem

ive forced a reinstall of DBD::mysql: and upcp --force and mysqlup --force and still no joy

anyone have any ideas on this one?

I compared the file with one from a working server and they are identical so i think i can rule that out as my issue
