If the domain I have is domain.us, is it true that ns1. and ns2.domain.us have to be dedicated to particular IP's? I read somewhere that .us domain names need their own dedicated IP's if they are going to act as nameservers. Is this true?

Because right now, I have someone set up so all their accounts use xx.xx.xxx.32 . And I have all my accounts AND nameservers on xx.xx.xxx.30 and 31. So I share my nameservers with my shared domains. Is it true for my client that I would have to give him/her two ADDITIONAL IP's to act ONLY as nameservers?

    Thanks

    Hi sigep739,

If you are setting up a nameserver it should have a dedicated IP. Your client can use nameservers setup by you.

    Regards,

    :)
