Dedicated and Shared IP question

I just picked up my first dedicated server, but have a question about IP allocation.

When I created an account and changed the IP for it, then new IP became dedicated to that account. Is there a way to use that same IP on multiple accounts?

On my VPS server I have been getting around that by creating an account with a dedicated IP, then creating 'add-on' domains, but I would like to have multiple shared IP's if possible.

The only way to do this would be to make either the account a reseller or make a reseller account and have all accounts you want to share that IP owned by that reseller account. I explain how to do this at the following forum post:
