Dedicated Server overload please help me with the optimization

    I have had my new server for more than one month running without any problems and overload, Now Iam noticing overload.

    Its Dedicated Server Dual core 2.80 GHz with 8GB RAM

    The server was manged for me by a friend and now I have to do the optimization my self and I really don't know how to do it. Please help me to get it optimized before I get the problems.

    Based solely on the information you've provided thus far, there does not appear to be any overload. 1.28 is "busy" but not overloaded for a dual-core system. It doesn't look like your system is actively swapping, and your I/O wait is only 1.3% so most of your data is being read from memory rather than disk. When your system is under peak load, can your run these commands and paste the results back here?

    # top -n1

    # vmstat 5 5
