    Hello,

Is it possible to run a dedicated mysql server and have all cPanel installations connect to that one dedicated mysql server? ie; giving it a centralized mysql environment?

    1st Server: cPanel (Fedora)
    2nd Server: cPanel (Fedora)
3rd Server: MySQL (Slackware OS, which is independant of cPanel's MySQLd.)

    Thanks,
    -Evan

Only problem I would see is having an account on server 1 with the same username as one of server 2, and then cP would get confused of which db's are which.

That would be a nice option if cpanel would append a server id to the mysql databases so we could run mutli cpanel boxes off of a remote database server without having to worry about having all the servers trying to use the same database names
