    Hi,
Let's say one domain got dedicated IP and SSL certificate. Is it possible to install this certificate for this domain's webmail? I am talking about https://www.domain.com:2096/.

    Anton.

Webmail, cPanel and WHM are served by cpsrvd, not Apache. As a result, any SSL certificates you set for Apache do not also automatically work for cpsrvd as it's a completely different server service. Only one SSL certificate can be set for cpsrvd at this time, so your hosting provider likely installed a certificate for the hostname of the server on cpsrvd.

Thanks, cPanelDavidG, that is how I thought it is with SSL certificates for webmail, but my boss wanted to be more sure and.. well, we are the hosting company ourselves trying to help one of our clients. ;)

[add note] Could you please tell also, if we install dedicated ssl certificate for webmail.colegio.no, would https://webmail.colegio.no (served through mod_proxy) be working? I guess yes, as visitors would be talking to regular apache...

    Thanks again!

    Hello,

SSl certificate belongs to domain colegio.no will not work for domain webmail.colegio.no. If you purchase wildcard ssl then it will install on any subdomain Colegio Noruego - Den Norske Skolen på Gran Canaria - Velkommen til oss to xyz.colegio.no.
Wild card ssl is costly compared to other ssl and it is used if you have multiple subdomains or servers.

    Regards,
    Rahul Mudavadkar
