Hi,

We've disabled the default email address option as it's a spam magnet. It's removed the normal option to set the default address and the main email account is not visable however at the bottom of the email page there is still a link to it which gives them access again:

"Your default account has been set to either reject incoming email or forward it to another account. Check Default Address for the destination of default mail for this domain."

Can this please be sorted cPanel.

WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.17.0-C19353

Thanks.

Did you disable this via Feature Manager (Default Address Manager)? Or was this a custom modification to the theme files. If this was done via Feature Manager, if you click that link, it shouldn't function.

It was done through WHM. You're correct in that it doesnt function when clicked on but should it really even be there if it's been disabled? Things like this a) confuse customers and b) result in support tickets asking why doesnt this work...

Are you using X3?

What is your full cPanel version number?

What is the URL to the page that displays what you are seeing?

Using X3, WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.17.0-C19353

If you click on email accounts, you have this below at the bottom of the page:

"Your default account has been set to either reject incoming email or forward it to another account. Check Default Address for the destination of default mail for this domain."

"Default Address" is a link taking you to >> http://ourdomain.com:2082/frontend/x3/mail/def.html"

Weird. I cannot get it to display that on my test server. However, looking at the theme files I found the text and link. I'm sending the issue to design/development.

I have disabled the 'Default Address Manager' in the Features list and the disabled list, but the function is still enabled in my clients cPanels. At the bottom of the page here:

http://www.example.com:2082/frontend/x3/mail/pops.html

it says

Note: Your default account has been set to either reject incoming email or forward it to another account. Check 'Default Address' for the destination of default mail for this domain.

and if I click the link, it goes to

http://www.example.com:2082/frontend/x3/mail/def.html

which appears to function normally rather than not being there according to my WHM settings. Can anyone help me get this feature disabled? I do not want them setting this to anything other than fail.
