Ok, if the address1 account exists, the mail shouldn't be going to the default account anyways, so thats not of concern. What is of concern is why the mail isnt hitting the inbox. Have you tried logging into webmail to see if the mail is there? If it is, its probably a mis-configured mail client. If the logs don't show anything usefull, do you have any filters in place that might be stopping the mail ? Do you have spamassassin enabled ? Could that be catching and re-directing the mail to the spambox ( if enabled )? Are you mailing locally or from a remote machine ? Is this the only account with this problem ? If so, have you ruled any DNS problems ?

    Go on, have a guess
(expanding on what Haze has said) 2 things:

    1. If you set the Default Address to anything other than the main account, then you must create a virtual Mail account for username@domain.com and use that to collect email from instead of just username.

    2. As Haze has asked, have you actually created a Mail account called address1@domain.com? If you have, have you configured your email client to login as address1@domain.com and not just address1?

When using virtual email accounts you must remember to add the domain name to the username in your email client login.
