default directory account creation is not loaded correctly

I have initially set as default account directory as /home2 in cpanel config.
Afterwards I needed to change this back to /home, but although the cpanel config shows as default homedir account creation as /home, new accounts are still created in /home2.
I have checked the /etc/wwwacct.conf, but there is nothing wrong there.
If I change to /home5 or any other directory, then it works (accounts are created in the specified directory) but if I want to have them in /home, they all are created in /home2.

Please advice.

Do you have home in Home Directory Prefix? If so, then that will be why. According to the setting you'll want to set it to blank to disable that.
