I tried to design some CUSTOM error pages (400 and 404) - per the documentation. I didn't like what I designed, so I erased it. NOW, when a 400 or 404 error comes up one's taken to a blank screen.

How do I get the boring old error messages - that everyone gets - to come up again. The documentation does not address this at all.

    Thanks.

The only ".htaccsss" files _I_ see, are in the public_html (and beyond), and there's nothing in that file. (0 bits.)

Is it possible I don't have access to the root, so only hosting company can do that? That would be nice to know (documentation wise) ALSO.
