Default Web Root Location

Ok, I had a VPS account set up with WHM.

So when I put in the ip of the site http://69.72.208.204/ I get the cPanel WHM welcome page, which is good. However, i cannot find where this page is located or where my web root is.

I SSH in and it defaults me to /root.

I tried /root/public_html and created an index page there, but the WHM welcome page still appears.

I also checked in /home/ which is where new accounts would be created, but there's nothing there.

I also checked in /usr/local/cpanel/ where the cpanel files are (/usr/local/cpanel/sys_cpanel/images contains the images for the welcome page) but I can't find the actual welcome page.

Where is the default web root located?

If you are using CP's default, then its located at :

/usr/local/apache/htdocs
