Just wondering does anyone else have a problem that when an account is deleted in WHM sometimes the user isnt removed? I cant recreate it, just seems to happen randomly with my resellers. Also someimes the userdel command seems to get stuck in a loop and consumes all the memory, this has happened at one point on almost all of my 7 cpanel servers.

We have the same problem, after accounts are deleted in WHM the user is not removed, seems to be occuring every time an account is deleted.

Would be interested to know if you found a solution or reason for the user not being removed.

We're still looking into a resolution, not found one yet.

Its a known problem.. I've been waiting for redhat to fix this bug since redhat 6.2. The solution may be to just dump userdel.

yeah, can you make your own script for it? It would save me a lot of tech support time.

Are you using Master/Slave servers

I have seen this mainly with multiple servers and a master/slave set-up. The host name for the server has to be the same as the nameservers or that seems to cause this type of problem. Such as if you server 1 is ns.server.com and your server 2 is ns2.server.com but your nameservers are ns.different.com and ns2.different.com. The DNS and trust relationships get messed up and then name.conf and then deletion of accounts stops working. The fix for us was to rename our nameservers in the server setup to the actual server hostnames for each. This may be a very different problem from what causing yours but it sound similar to problems we have had with deleting accounts until we reconfigured this and then fixed all of our name.conf to match.
