Sorry - noob question - Can someone point to a detailed listing of the /scripts directory - what exactly each script does?

Listing of WHM /Scripts And Their Functions?

Boy, there sure are a lot of scripts in the /scripts folder. I have no idea what they all do, and I've looked through the documentation to the best of my abilities.

Is there a page that lists each script and what it does, or am I just really looking in the wrong place?

    Thanks,
    T.F.

Nope, there isn't a comprehensive list.

Best way is just to do a "ls *keyword*" search for things you think may be interesting and then examine them with nano/pico to see what they do.

I think the way of thinking is "If you don't know what the script in /scripts does, you don't need to run it"

Wouldn't it be nice if there was at least a terse phrase in the scripts that said a little something about each? I mean the text editor had to be opened up to write the script and it already has cpanel copyright data on it.

One more line of code does not seem like a lot to ask. :D (but then I'm not the guy putting it in 500 files)

Just a thought since this comes up all the time. It would eliminate the need for this page which can be out of date:
