I know this has been "looked at" in the past, but could someone like Mr. Billy let us know if SSL support for MySQL is ever going to be included?

Life would be so easy if there was a check box to trigger the simple build flag. Not having the option in Cpanel forces us to rebuild from source, which could lead to breaking stuff. I like Cpanel, but its quirky when you start doing stuff like rebuilding from source.

No one needs to mention stunnel or freeswan.

    Anyway....

If you want an answer from cPanel then you should contact them (info on their site) the forums is not the way. If you're looking for an enhancement then you need to log it in bugzilla:

I'm not trying to start a movement. It has already been addressed and brought up in bugzilla, where it seem to have died. (Billy even built some rpms one time.) I'm just looking to see if there is an answer on "if" it will be implemented or not.
