difference between GD and GD2

    Hello,

    can anyone is able to explain me what is the difference between GD and GD2.Is this a version difference ?

    GD is the name of the library. GDv2 was a major upgrade and sometimes programs are designed to take advantage of certain features of v2. In those cases you will usually see program requirements stipulate GD2. You can find an FAQ on the GD homepage.

    Just tell me i have GD 2.0.28 on my linux enterprise and client need GD2.What i need to do now ?

    I am not sure I understand what you are asking. If you are running GD 2.0.28 and you are trying to run software that requires GD2, you should be fine. If I misunderstood your question, please rephrase it for me.

    Hello,

    I also confuse about GD and GD2.
    i have a GD 2.0.28 on my linux server.Client need the GD2.Client also don't know about GD and GD2.He just saw in phpinfo and there is GD.

    So please explain me GD2 means GD 2.x.x (GD 2.0 version) ?

    OR anything else.....

    Yes.

    There is no such thing as a GD 'client'. The GD library can be installed on whichever end it needs to be installed on (or both :) ).

    last question.....

    Means GD2 is nothing but the gd 2.0 version.Is this right?

    So that i needs to tell customer that we have already install GD 2.0.28 (GD2) .right ?
