Difference between upcp and upcp.static

    Hello,

    Can you tell me what is difference between upcp and upcp.static scripts ? There is alos some other scripts with static extension. What are they ? like
    pkgacct.static
    upcp.static
    updatenow.static
    updateuserdomains.static

    I know upcp is used for updating cPanel. But what what is the need of upcp.static. Please provide some light on this.

    No... i'm just curious. i googled the question, but didn't find an answer.. It is ok to ask a question here rite ?...please provide some info... thank you for your time and BTW great software.. keep up the good work cPanel.. Life is made so easy..

    Sure, you can ask questions. :) Questions about system files created/used by cPanel might be better asked thru the ticket system though. For no other reason than via the ticket system you may get a proper detailed response from the cPanel Developers.

    These static scripts are designed to work stand alone and do not depend on other libraries and features that their normal counterparts do.

    Because of this, these static scripts can be ran in situations where the normal script cannot (such as with a corrupted cPanel installation).

    Generally speaking, these static scripts are never ran by a customer and are ran only when needed by cPanel support staff.
