Digitalocean hosting - why not use floating IP

The guidance I am finding on the web suggests using PUBLIC IP instead of FLOATING IP for cpanel installations.
I do not understand this since the whole purpose of floating IPs was to provide some level of permanence to an IP.
I believe DO public IPs are permanent until the server is destroyed but I don't know if that is a guarantee.
Also, what if a server needs to be destroyed and recreated for some reason, the IP is lost.
What is wrong with using a FLOATING IP for a cpanel installation?

Floating IPs are generally meant for High Availability/Failover and don't replace the Public IP address. This is discussed here: Floating IPs :: DigitalOcean Product Documentation

They don't support PTR records which means if you were to configure it as a usable IP you would not be able to send mail with that IP successfully. This is discussed here: Floating IPs :: DigitalOcean Product Documentation

That being said, I don't see anywhere here that recommends you do not use one, the installation instructions on Digital Ocean and our Own Documentation do not note that you cannot use a Floating IP:

Also, we do go over how to manage floating IP's in our own documentation here:
