Hi

When a user logs in via www.theirdomain.com/webmail/ they get this ugly page with an option of neomail or horde. Is there any way to change this page or allow the user to directly login to horde ?

I have tried using a link to http://www.carrighost.com:2095/horde/index.php
but that brings up a horde login box and i have to click login. if i could get a page that would bring up the login box and ask the user to enter their details that would be great

Thanks

Sean

I guess i should get all my customers to stick with neomail so.

Thanks

Horde is being removed by CPanel due to potential bugs.

Where did this info come from?? I know that [email protected]#$(@) was removed for security risks, but I have never heard this about horde.

I am hoping that they are NOT removing Horde, I have sold quite a few new accounts purely because of the new Horde webmail!!

Horde is grossly unfunctional, in later builds it won't even allow a user to login, and if it does the user is lucky. A product such as this SHOULD be removed, because all it does is send millions of support questions 'why can't I login to email?' . It's not just one server, I have had this problem with quite a few servers that I administrate (all with different settings).

We hope they will not remove Horde.

Remove Horde because of bugs? Why not remove CPanel then....

The problems with Horde are minimal and I have had no customer report login problems. I have only had 3 support tickets submitted due to problems with Horde and I have CPanel running on 7 servers. The customers LOVE it, it would be a mistake to remove it now.

Agreed. We only got a few problems in the last few hours... so must be caused by a recent update?

We always run the latest stable build and have never had any problems with Horde. Not one single ticket. I don't think the blanket statement that Horde is non-functional in later builds is accurate. I think there is something wrong on that server and a ticket should be submitted to cpanel to get it straightened out.

Horde is excellent, and I, personally, use it all the time when I am away from my home computer. It doesn't always handle html mail well, but that is my only complaint. I want to see it stay. We have had to many changes and disruptions around webmail. It is making clients jumpy. First it was just Neomail, then Neomail and Ub(&^*%^&^, next we added Open Webmail, but we almost immediately dropped it. Then came imap and the addition of Horde/IMP and the going away of Ub)*(^&&. This area needs to stablize a bit.

My vote goes to Open Webmail! I still use the 1.64-Cpanel version for my own domains. Open Webmail is a natural progression from Neomail with lots of more features and constant development: http://turtle.ee.ncku.edu.tw/openwebmail/doc/changes.txt

Howabout when your users are connecting thru a secure connection? Are they getting those damn annoying popups that say, THIS PAGE CONTAINS SECURE AND INSECURE ITEMS, DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE before they can enter Horde and Neomail?

I take it the original question cannot be answered?

If you enter: http://domainname.com:2095/horde/index.php

It presents you with the webmail login page which then takes you to select which mail program you want to use, then you have to login to Horde again, so basically you have to go through 3 different pages to access your chosen webmail program.

Exactly the same can be said for NeoMail and Squirrel.

I want to customize the login procedure as much as possible if I could as I want to give me members a free email address and the ability to check it through my page, like Hotmail.
