When browsing the site getting the error as :

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    And

I am getting this error at error logs on the server.

    Directory index forbidden by rule

anyone know the perfect solution for this?

Check the .htaccess for this line:

    Options -Indexes

If you have it there, change it to:

    #Options -Indexes

To see if it helps. This line replaces the need for an index.html in every directory to protect those directories contents from being viewed.

    Hi,

If you put the line "Options -Indexes" on your .htaccess file ,it will disable directory index listing . But the site only accessible once you put an index file on your webspace . If you have disable that line from your .htaccess it allow your domain to directory index listing with out an index page .
