Directory Privacy - Multiple logins required

Hi everyone,

I have just started building my very first website, and I already have a strange issue that I cannot seem to find an answer for anywhere.

I have set one of my directories to be password protected, which works a treat!! You open the page and it requests a username and password to continue, but it requires you to enter the username and password 3 times in a row before it lets you proceed.

Is this normal?? Or a new, rather annoying, feature I have unlocked

It shouldn't be requesting the username/password three times have you tried different browsers? Can you show me a screenshot of just the password protect setup you have in place? Please remove any identifying information like domain names or IP addresses.
