After the recent upgrade to CURRENT ... tried to disable anonymous FTP ... the process completes, ftpd restarts but when you go back to that option, it states anonymous ftp enabled. Repeat this as many times i may want to, but it refuses to budge...

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

We had the same problem. It appears that system files have been cattr'd in a recent update.

    Try the following:

    Code:
    service pure-ftpd stop
    chattr -i pure-ftpd
    pico pure-ftpd
    chattr +i pure-ftpd
    service pure-ftpd start

    HTH :)

Had Cpanel techs have a look.
They couldn't resolve it and they know not why it's not working.
They can't duplicate it on their servers.

Seems a bit of a shock to me :/
I am on cpanel CURRENT with RH9

Point them to this post and they'll understand what I meant in my post, and how to fix the issue. As the file has been chattr'd in a recent update, neither WHM or root has permission to update the file.
