I've got one user with a subdomain that generates a ton of traffic, but that he doesn't need traffic stats for. Processing its awstats logs is chewing a lot of CPU (it consistently shows up as a red line in "Today's CPU Usage") and I'd like to disable either httpd logging or awstats crunching or both for this subdomain.

In Choose Log Programs, I've turned off all stats programs for that subdomain, but its awstats are still being processed. In httpd.conf, vhosts do not define their own logging directive, so there's nothing to be turned off there. I deleted the subdomain's awstats.domain.conf file, but it was automatically regenerated the next day.

Is there any way to disable stats processing per-domain?

    Thanks,
    Scot

In WHM's stats configuration, there is an option for whether to let customers update their own stats. Even if this option is set to OFF, it still appears to the user in Choose Log Program that they can control this - they get the full interface for enabling / disabling different stats packages - even ones that are explicitly disabled in WHM. Their choices have no effect, since they're overridden by the WHM setting.

Shouldn't the cpanel options for this go away if disabled in WHM? Should I file a bug on this?
