the only way i will stay with cpanel is to continue to use the x3 theme for eternity.

you said the next update you will cut off your customer's heads by terminating the best theme ever, the x3 theme which will ruin the lives of the entire internet.

so i never want to update cpanel ever again, i don't care about security issues, security doesn't even matter if i can't even use the site because i vow on my dog's grave i will never use the new theme, ever!!!!!!!!!!

so tell me how to permanently disable cpanel updates.

I made files immutable to break cpanel updates. I hope that works.

Agreed! This new thing sucks, AND it broke important features ,most notably url redirects. I just posted about it. But yes, this sucks

You can disable cPanel updates here:
    WHM »Server Configuration »Update Preferences

    Daily Updates
    Automatic
    Manual Updates Only
    X Never Update

    Operating System Package Updates
    X Automatic
    Manual Updates Only
    Never Update

    Apache SpamAssassin™ Rules Updates
    X Automatic
    Manual Updates Only
    Never Update

This way is far safer than messing about with system files.
